It is difficult to explain a hotel in a single photo. How arrival, rooms, breakfast, and the surroundings combine into a memorable stay is what creators turn into images, videos, and text. Hotels that want to work with a travel creator should know in advance what is involved: a clear project brief, content rights, and a realistic timeline. This page describes how a collaboration with Max Haase works, who has worked as a professional travel creator for over ten years.

Distinction

Paid collaboration instead of a free stay

A hotel collaboration is a commission with defined content, deadlines, and usage rights. This distinguishes it from a stay without a fee. As a rule, pure barter deals are not part of Max Haase's offering: professional equipment, travel planning, and post-production are work that is part of the agreed terms.

  • The hotel receives defined content instead of random posts.
  • Approvals and usage rights are set out in the offer in advance.
  • The content is created according to an agreed plan.

Formats

What content a hotel can receive

Pool area of a resort with sea views

Reels in 4K

Vertical videos including editing that combine arrival, room, surroundings and special moments in a few seconds.

Aerial view of a lagoon with boats in the Algarve

Posts and carousels

Individual images or slideshows for the strongest motifs and an orderly sequence through the house.

Coast with surf on Lanzarote

Stories

Runs alongside in real time, with agreed links. One story set comprises 3 sequences.

Aerial view of a beach hotel

Aerial photographs and image package

Aerial photographs in 4K, provided that location, weather and applicable rules permit the use of drones, plus a printable image package for the hotel's own channels.

Additionally possible

Depending on the campaign objective, a 16:9 brand film in 4K and a detailed blog post complement the social media content. The blog post is included in the largest package or can be added as an option and ensures the campaign remains discoverable on Google. The most suitable combination is determined in advance.

How it Works

From inquiry to publication

1

1. Inquiry and framework

The hotel specifies the occasion, desired time period, formats, and goal via the Collaboration page. The management responds within 48 hours with a proposal for implementation, timeframe, and offer.

2

2. Offer and contract

Content, production scope, approvals, and usage rights are specifically defined. Production begins after the contract is signed.

3

3. Local production

Typically five to ten days, depending on the scope. Travel expenses are not included and are usually covered by the client.

4

4. Post-processing and publication

Approximately two weeks of post-production, followed by publication according to the agreed-upon plan. From approval to go-live, it typically takes 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the destination and scope.

What a hotel should prepare in advance

  • Goal and target group of the campaign
  • Period and season
  • Must-haves and no-gos, such as room categories, restaurant, spa or activities
  • Local contact person and access to all areas to be shown
  • Rules for drone flights at the location
  • Existing brand guidelines

A good briefing defines goals, must-have motifs and framework conditions, and leaves room to discover the specific features on site.

Usage rights and duration

The offer specifies how long and where a hotel may use the content.

  • Organic usage rights are included for 30 days, 90 days or 6 months, depending on the package.
  • Extended rights (Paid, Print, OOH) are available upon request.
  • Videos and photos are available for the hotel's social media channels.

Terms on request.
